The student body of Hoover Elementary School is off and running Friday in the annual Risser Run. Students, parents and staff jogged, ran or walked a .6-mile route in the event begun 25 years ago by physical education teacher Roger Risser as the ending activity of a three-week Jog "N Log unit through the Mankato School District's Health Promotion Council.
